Waiting For The Barbarians

In a dramatic coup for the Baxter Theatre Centre, Nobel Prize winner J.M. Coetzee’s most celebrated novel comes to the Baxter stage under the careful hand of veteran producer Maurice Podbrey.

Adapted and directed by international director Alexandre Marine, the story of the magistrate in a small frontier town under the jurisdiction of the Empire is a bona fide South African classic. With a stellar cast led by Grant Swanby, Waiting for the Barbarians promises to be a highlight of the South African Stage in 2012.
