A PLAGUE OF HEROES

During Vusi's school years he fell under the spell of the local gangster elite – the “heroes” of the township. After a brief but intoxicating life of crime which left Vusi a paraplegic, he is determined to reform his life and give new meaning to the idea of heroism. A tough-minded, often witty and unsentimental South African parable.
