Blue/Orange: In conversation with Mark Solms & Sean Bauman

Blue Orange IN CONVERSATION WITH MENTAL-HEALTH SPECIALISTS MARK SOLMS AND SEAN BAUMAN: The Baxter Theatre Centre will host a post-show discussion, centring on the questions and challenges posed by Joe Penhall’s award-winning play Blue/Orange, to the medical professionals treating mental illness. Professor Mark Solms, renowned neuropsychologist who pioneered the field of neuropsychoanalysis, will be in conversation with psychiatrist Dr Sean Baumann, whose diagnosis of Shrien Dewani recently made international headlines. Published experts in their fields, the psychiatric diagnosis in black and underprivileged communities will be raised and debated.

The theme of professional and personal boundaries between practitioner and patient will also be addressed in the conversation.

The special performance and post-show discussion will take place on Wednesday, 25 February, 2015, at 7pm, in the Baxter Golden Arrow Studio.
