Baxter is looking for two new receptionists

The Baxter Theatre Centre seeks to appoint two receptionists on an ad-hoc basis for appointment commencing 15 July 2014.

The successful candidate will carry out receptionist and telephonist duties.

A matric certificate or equivalent qualification
One year’s relevant experience
A friendly disposition coupled with sound interpersonal and communication skills
Good telephonic skills
Fluency in English and at least one other official language
Strong working knowledge of MS Word and e-mail
The ability to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and independently
A strong sense of customer service
The ability to work on weekends and public holidays

Previous experience in the hospitality industry or in theatre would be an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To act as first point of entry for visitors and staff alike
To answer the telephone, direct calls, take messages and distribute them accordingly
To answer queries from the general public, artists and staff regarding daily operations
To receive and distribute mail to and from the Baxter Theatre Centre.
