The Cape Town Concert Series is presenting musicians of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in The Other Side, the first of a series of concerts in which the CPO musicians show another facet of the musical personalities.
The 11th annual Baxter Zabalaza Theatre Festival, from 20 to 27 March 2021, will showcase 24 fresh, vibrant productions from all over the Western Cape and one from Gauteng, featuring over 200 hundred participants, with all COVID-19 protocols in place, as regulated at Level 1 during the national lockdown.
With the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases in the Western Cape, The Baxter Theatre has taken the decision to suspend all performances over the festive season from 19 December 2020 to end January 2021. This is part of The Baxter’s commitment as a responsible theatre, to help fight the spread of the disease.
Yusuf Daniels’ bestselling book, Living Coloured, set to be a highlight this festive season, has been adapted for the stage, directed by the award-winning Loukmaan Adams, at the Baxter Concert Hall, from 8 December to 9 January at 7.30pm with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
